High quality reproduction steel Kettle Hat helmet, modelledon the widely used medieval armour.
The Kettle Hat Helmet is a design which dates back to, andwas very popular in, the medieval period – particularly with infantryman in the100 Years War. This style of helmet took its English name from a metal cookingpot, which it resembled, known as a Kettle; originating from the Germanic word‘cetel’. This helmet was so successful at protecting its wearer fromprojectiles that the design was reintroduced in both World War 1 and 2.
This replica kettle helmet is constructed with 18 gauge steeland is a true likeness to helmets of this type from the medieval period. Itfeatures studded detail just above the large rim, a leather adjustable linerand chin strap.
